Supine = lying down with the face up

Abduction = to move away from the midline or center

For this exercise, you will need a resistance tube and a workout mat.

Lie down on your back with your feet straight in the air. Secure the resistance tube around your ankles. Hold the tube firmly in place with one hand. Be sure your feet are together, then slowly move both legs outward.

Move the legs back to the starting position. It is important to keep tension on the hip muscles and control the momentum of the resistance tube at all times.
